We are nearing the end of 2020 and we don’t know about you but we’re very much looking forward to the prospect of starting fresh with a new calendar.
And while we normally gravitate towards ones with cute puppies or hunky pop stars, we’ll be starting off 2021 with the annual Cambridge University naked calendar. And let’s just say, it’s not for the faint-hearted.
Cambridge University Students in the sports teams including swimming, sailing, athletics, volleyball, and water polo have posed naked for photos around their historical university city.
While the girls’ athletics club strategically placed javelins and hurdles to cover their modesty on the track, the female powerlifting lounged around their lecture theatres in the buff.
Even the water polo team got involved and posed at the world-famous Cambridge Union using the inflatable balls to cover themselves.
Meanwhile, daring male students from the university’s swimming club recreated famous Greek statues at the historic Fitzwilliam Museum.
This year, the proceeds from the £10 calendars will be donated to the charity Doctors Without Borders.
Dan Lewis, who organized the Cambridge Blues calendar with fellow undergraduate Charo Havermans, said – It has been very tricky to organize the calendar this year due to COVID-19, but against all the odds it has finally come together and we are really pleased with it.
We had a good response from students wanting to take part but had difficulties as some of the university locations pulled out, so we expanded it to include important locations throughout the city too.
