Six dead in stampede at an Italian nightclub
Firefighters informed that as a result of a trepidation that broke out six people lost their lives at a nightclub. This happened in the wee hours of Saturday morning due to a stampede. The disco is located near Ancona in central Italy.
The fire department went on Twitter and stated that the incident might have happened due to a bitter substance that spread around the club. It leads to people running off, tripping and stomping over one another. Six people died and many more got injured.
According to local broadcasts, there were approximately 1000 people in the Blue Lantern club in Corinaldo on the Adriatic coast. Apparently, an Italian rapper, called Sfera Ebbasta was going to performing there. It was about 1:00 AM (GMT) when the mishap occurred.
A 16-year-old boy who was rushed to the hospital narrated that the people were dancing and waiting for the concert. Suddenly, they whiffed a pungent smell. He said, We ran to one of the emergency exits but we found it blocked, the bouncers told us to go back.
Five of the dead were teenagers, ranging from 14 to 16 years. The adult was a woman who was 39.
Interior Minister, Matteo Salvini addressed that two railings gave way as so many people rushed out. He also said that there were more people inside the club than allowed.
