Five Indian soldiers reportedly killed by Pakistan army in retaliatory fire

The Pakistan Army has reportedly killed five Indian soldiers in the retaliatory fire on Thursday. ISPR said on Friday 5 April.

According to the ISPR, the Indian Army resorted to unprovoked firing and targeted civilians in Chirikot sector of the Line of Control.

Six people were injured, including a woman and four children in the Indian firing. They have been taken to a hospital.

The Pakistan Army responded immediately, resulting five Indian soldiers killed and leaving many injured.

Two days ago, seven Indian soldiers were killed and 19 injured in retaliatory fire by the Pakistan Army, ISPR said. Also, some Indian military posts were destroyed in the response by the Pakistani soldiers to Indian firing.

Indian soldiers resorted to firing on the civilian population in “Khuiratta” sector of the Line of control resulting in the death of an 18-year-old Pakistani citizen and injuries to 3 women, ISPR said.

Earlier the same day, 3 Pakistani soldiers were martyred after Indian firing on the line of control. Indian forces opened fire in the Rawalakot Sector, killing 3 soldiers and injuring 1 other.

The 3 martyred soldiers identified as Subedar Muhammad Riaz, and Sepoy Shahid Mansab and Hawaldar Aziz Ullah.
